Stage Characteristics
.Athlete moves quickly toward the ball in the correct area to receive the ball with excellent focus.
.She effectively deadens the ball with a soft target, choosing the correct area of her body to receive the ball.
.She maintains tight control of the ball during the entire trial.
.She maintains excellent balance, leaning toward the ball, kicking equally well with the laces/instep of either foot.
.She kicks confidently and accurately, putting power behind the ball.
*This female soccer player performs 18 successful target kicks in 20 seconds during this single trial. In the 1963 Mitchell Study, the highest score in 192 subjects was 56 successful total kicks in 3 trials with the mean at 34.8 for 3 trials.
What to Change:
From the camera angle used, I can't see where the 6' restraining line is. It appears that she is right behind where I estimate it would be.
My only "cue" would be to remind her all kicks must be made from behind the 6' restraining line to be legal.
