Analysis of Sport Skill Video #1

Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics: One of the Characteristics was the stepping. There is tape on the ground to emphasize where to try and step every time you strike the birdie. The second characteristic was striking the birdie. She placed the birdie on the racket, flicked it up and then hit it.
What to change: If I would change anything it would be the way she followed through. Her step was perfect but her follow through was not "across her body." When your follow through goes across your body it reduces stress on the elbow and also generates more power.
Cue: "Make sure that when you swing the racket and your going to follow through, you follow through across your body."

analysis

Stage: Intermediate, can still perform the skill correctly just at a slower pace.

Stage Characteristics: The first Characteristics was the stepping and foot placement, and the second characteristic was striking the birdie.

What to change: i would maybe change the follow through of the athlete. this would allow for more accuracy, power, and less strain on the body.

Cue: Follow through, (across body)
