Drop Kick Analysis
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics: The ball is held correctly just above the knees for best control of the ball. He also flexes at the waist and when he drops the ball to the ground he kicks it correctly just as it bounces.
What to Change: Instead of taking two steps in the drop kick, the correct procedure is to take one step with the left foot and kick the ball with right foot, or vice versa. In this particular video, the man takes one step with his left, then one with his right, then finally kicks the ball with his left. The change he needs to make is: if he wants to still kick the ball with his left foot, he needs to eliminate his first step, and step with his right foot first and then immediately kick the ball with his left.
Cue: "Make sure to use only one step before you kick!"
