Backstroke Turn

Stage: Advanced

Stage Characteristics: stroke, into to turn and exit out of turn

What to Change: There are only a few things I would change. When coming into the wall, the swimmer looks up too far. When you do this, this makes you slow down because you are now pushing more water than before. The second is the flip and foot placement. He got too close to the wall, rule of thumb is that your feet and legs should be at a 90 degree angle when flat on the wall. Otherwise, his turn was really good, great dolphin kick off the wall and his head was back as well.

Cue: "count your strokes from the flags into the wall"
